Project: Introduction of the Battery-Powered Electric Locomotive with Variable Track Gauge “Electra” to the Market

Project Description:

The objective of the project is to implement an innovative battery-powered electric locomotive designed for the mining industry. A key feature of the locomotive will be its variable track gauge, enabling seamless transfer of the vehicle between levels within the same mine.

Current market solutions (conventional locomotives) are assigned to specific mining levels and track widths, which poses significant logistical limitations. The “Electra” locomotive will introduce a groundbreaking change in this field, making it an innovation on a global scale.

The project also includes the implementation of non-technological innovations:

• Marketing innovations,
• Organizational innovations.

Purchases within the project:

• 6 welding machines,
• 4 overhead cranes.

Investment Effects:

The implementation of a globally innovative product that will be used in mining both in Poland and internationally.
